It is a period for the Candidate to be aware of the Value of the Vocation, and in turn it’s an opportunity for the community to know about the candidate: intellectual and emotional maturity, psychological and physical fitness for the religious life. Here the time table and program is well arranged, so that they are gradually introduced to the Carmelite Religious Life. Since they come from different backgrounds and are not used to a particular time-table, so the step by step introduction helps them to get familiar and consciously engage in the activities.
These two are compulsory parts of the time table. This is in view of teaching the value of work and personal health.
It’s a two year program of secular studies. The time-table and activities are almost same except for the day, during which they go to College (which is 8 KM away from the house) for the studies. This is a time for the candidates to nurture their Vocation, though their time mostly involved in studies. During this stage the candidate though engaged in studies, his human, intellectual, spiritual formation is also promoted. Therefore, at this stage the gradual holistic maturation of the student is given more attention. And there are celebrations, recreation, annual picnic which to bring unity, fraternity and creativity among the Candidates.
