Functioning of Theology College
Our seminarians attend the classes in the Capuchin Seminary which is 3 kilometers
away from our house. They go by bicycle every day to the college. As we have no four wheelers
all the seminarians have to go to the college by cycle. At present we have 34 Theology and
Philosophy Brothers

annual retreat for a week. We recite novena prayers before the feasts of Our Lady of Mt.
Carmel, St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, St. Therese of Child Jesus, Novena to Infant
Jesus, etc. all these spiritual activities in view of fostering and deepening spiritual life.

We have lemon garden, mango garden, flower garden, piggery, rabbits and vegetable gardens.
Our brothers are entrusted each department and they are engaged as part time work in the
coconut garden. Besides this they have sports and games. They compete with other seminarians
in volleyball.

The students are given ample time to concentrate on their studies. They go to the college by
8.45 AM. They have ample time to spend on studies in the afternoon as well as in the evening
after their sports and garden work. Besides that they get a lot of time after the night prayer. Our
brothers have attended in competitive exams like elocution, bible quiz etc, in the seminary in
the state level.
Celebrations
We use to celebrate various feasts and functions which give a formation to our students. It gives
them a chance to organize and mobilize and highlight speaking and managing capacities. We
give them chance to do it in the parish level, institutional level and village level.
Picnic, outing and exposure programs
There will be a community picnic every year and they select the spots in view of various aspects
of spiritual, educational and recreational to bring unity among them. Every month there is a
day for relaxation and they go out for a walk, hospital visit or to visit their friends and
seminarians. Besides the picnic and retreat they have to go for an exposure program for ten
days. This programs arranged in the seminary itself. If the seminary is not arranging, we arrange
in our house level. It includes a jail ministry, service in orphanage, etc.
